Gameplay

DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered focuses on large-scale tactical action in which a single officer can battle enormous groups of enemy soldiers while completing objectives across expansive battlefields. Players can choose from more than 40 officers, develop their characters and use distinctive weapons and powerful Musou attacks to break through enemy formations.

The remaster expands the original combat system with Evasion, perfectly timed Just Evasion counterattacks and Perfect Power Guard. Weapon Fusion provides additional customization by allowing unwanted weapons to be consumed while transferring useful elemental attributes and skills to other equipment. Players who prefer a more traditional experience can also disable newly added features through Classic Settings.

Story

The game returns to the turbulent Three Kingdoms era of ancient China, allowing players to experience battles from the perspectives of numerous famous officers and factions. Its campaigns recreate the conflicts that shaped the struggle for control of the land, with different characters offering their own routes through the war.

The Complete Edition also includes content originally introduced in DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Xtreme Legends, including additional stories for seven officers such as Lu Bu, Meng Huo and Yuan Shao. New scenarios further expand the selection of battles available in the remastered edition.

Graphics

Battlefields, characters and large armies have been recreated using Unreal Engine 5 while retaining the recognizable style and structure of the original game. Updated environments, character models and visual effects give the enormous battles a modern presentation while preserving the fast-paced atmosphere of the classic DYNASTY WARRIORS experience.
